It was October. Probably one of the best months of the year-- fall is in the air but the days are still warm.
The year was 2001 and the leaves had begun to turn just as they are now, but it was a very different time-- long before twitter and instagram. The country was still reeling after the terrorist attacks on September 11th and Evolution Printing was about to be born.

WHAT WE WERE DOING:
CHRIS: was working in printing and had just welcomed his son, Cameron.
TIFFANY: was being fabulous as always, working hard as an Art Buyer for Arnold Worldwide, setting up photo shoots for prestigious clients such as Exxon Mobil, STIHL, and McDonalds to name a few
HEATHER: was a sophomore at Penn State University’s University Park Campus and had just declared her double major in Art (with a focus in Graphic Design) and Advertising. She turned 19 this month!
AND THEN IT HAPPENED:
After being laid off as a pressman, Greg took his severance pay, bought a single press, moved it into his townhouse garage and began printing for businesses around the area with the birth of Garage INK.
It wasn't long before Garage INK was too big for the garage (pictured). So then it really happened. AGAIN.
In June 2007 - Garage INK evolved into Evolution Printing. We moved the production out of our house and into a commercial location in Manassas and added our first 4-color press. Tiffany left her steady pay in the advertising world and joined Greg full time, truly making us a family business! Tiffany quickly became the face of Evolution Printing because well.... she’s way better looking and more interesting to talk to than Greg!
Evolution Printing continued to grow and grow and grow. We weren't a baby anymore/
April 2011 was no different. After hiring several production workers over the course of a few years, Chris Miller joined Evolution Printing. Chris brings a combination of old-school pressman knowledge and problem solving to our ever evolving equipment and service list moving forward. Chris is still moving and shaking as production manager with a killer eye for detail and superior quality workmanship!
And Evolution Printing continued to grow and grow and grow... but still maintain our small shop appeal, treating each and every customer like our best friends. (Very unlike how our actual teenagers behave sometimes.... just sayin').
In January 2013
We expanded our production service into signs and displays as well as a new building to handle larger production. We are the first printing business in the area to offer graphic design, traditional printing, signs & displays all under one roof!
In August 2016
We upgraded our digital press to offer more color, more capabilities and faster turnaround for our business customers. Not to mention, I (Heather Maltby-Goble) joined the EVO team as our" graphic designer, customer service enthusiast, prepress manager and all around magical, file fixer guru!" (Tiff and Greg's words, not mine, but I'll take it!)
Over the last 18 years we have continued to provide excellent customer service as we have grown-- your success is paramount to our success and we wouldn't have it any other way. Now that we are EIGHTEEN, we wanted to take a moment to Thank each and every one of our valued clients for your trust and partnership in business. You truly are a part of the EVO team.
Old enough to vote...play the lottery and join the US Forces. Hold that beer for us, we are ALMOST there!!!
