About Us

A family owned and operated company, Evolution Printing was founded in 2001 by our CEO, Greg Turley. Growing up as the grandson of entrepreneur and business owner Charles Turley of Turley Manufacturing, Greg saw first-hand what good morals, ethics and passion for a job well done can do to build success.

These lessons stuck as he found his passion for the arts. In high school, he took photography, graphic arts and printing classes. Immediately after school, he became a pressman for the Marine Corps Association in Quantico, VA. His attention to detail and “can do” attitude was very popular with his supervisors and coworkers.

In the fall of 2001, under new management, the print shop was closed, eliminating Greg’s position as a pressman. It was that moment that he decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. At 28 years of age, he used his severance package to purchase two presses and a folder from the closing shop and moved them into the garage of his townhome. Our flagship business, Garage Ink, was born!

During this time, Greg’s wife, Tiffany, was commuting all over the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area as the Print and Art Buyer for such prestigious advertising agencies as Arnold Worldwide and Ogilvy PR, as well as magazine publisher AIM Media. Greg and Tiffany decided to take yet another leap of faith, combine talents and work the business together. In 2007, Garage Ink had become too large to be contained in a home garage, so we expanded to our first store- front. Real brick and mortar---we had evolved!
